The 33 Chair
Our tailored, modern version of a traditional Parisian club chair is a study in contrasts: compact but comfortable; inviting yet stately; fashionable and traditional.
The leather we chose is a vegetable tanned leather. Crafted in small batches in Tuscany, each hide takes up to 60 days to tan. The two-month soak deepens the color and accentuates texture creating depth to the hue and suppleness to the finished leather. This old-world tanning process remains in only a handful of tanneries worldwide.
We recently traveled to High Point, North Carolina where our 33 Chairs are bench-made. Here are some of the images we captured of its construction:

Using only the shoulder portion of the hides, a total of three hides are used to cover the frame of this chair

The frame is traditionally constructed in the United States.

The finished leather burnishes over the course of its life.

Our signature “Modern Saddle” color will darken into a rich caramel as it ages.
