There was a bookstore where I grew up. Dark wood, wide-plank barnwood floors, smoothed by foot traffic. An open fireplace facing an oversized, chocolate-brown leather sofa as luxurious as it was inviting. Throughout the years, along with countless thousands of others, I must have sat on that couch for enough hours to count them in days. It had both a smoothness to it and a supple texture where the creases had formed and the leather had softened. This outstanding, heirloom-quality bag reminds me of that couch – gorgeous, richly colored, buttery-soft, and aging in all the right ways. You will never regret this purchase; you will capital-L love it.

Looks as good in person as on site… The finish on the bag is perfect – not too shiny but enough of a creamy, rich luster that it doesn’t look too distressed either. Bought it for my husband and he joked on our last trip with our four kids to just visit family overnight that he at least felt like he was going somewhere cool due to the bag… Very happy with purchase.

Benedict collectors item
I own the Benedict in Nubuck green, a color apparently no longer available. It has aged gracefully, unlike myself, and is no doubt evolving into a collectors item in the world of high end leather luggage fans. Eat your hearts out everyone, it’s not for sale.
